1890 Dartmouth University Baseball team photo with Edward K. Hall

Edward Hall was the captain of the 1891 Dartmouth football team.  He went on to coach at the University of Illinois both football and baseball from 1892-94.  When President Roosevelt demanded changes to the game of football in 1906 the NCAA was formed.  Hall helped develop changes to the rules such as the forward pass which made the game safer and more interesting.  He also replaced Walter Camp in 1906 as the Secretary of the Rules Committee.  He was inducted into the College HOF in the 1951 inaugural class.
